“We are in a planetary emergency.”
If we carry on burning fossil fuels, such extreme heatwaves will become an average summer for Europe by 2040 and almost all summers will be hotter than that by 2060!
...burning of fossil fuels would lead to heat extremes that exceed “the threshold defining what Chinese farmers may tolerate while working outdoors.”
The oceans are already 30% more acidic Ad nauseam
EXTINCTION REBELLION has been mocked after a video surfaced of the group powering its camps using pollution-emitting diesel generators.
Footage has emerged of an Extinction Rebellion camp using a diesel generator for power. The large machine was covered by wooden pallets in an apparent attempt to hide it despite the loud whirring noise. Former SAS Regimental Sergeant Major, James Deegan MC, retweeted the video to his Twitter page, calling the climate activists “hypocrites” as they insist on lecturing people against using fossil fuels.
His caption read: “Hypocrites absolute hypocrites.
“Extinction Rebellion camp in London using a diesel generator for power.
“Did they think the pallets made it invisible and soundproof?”
Apparently, they do. What's worse is their complete ignorance on parts per Hydrogen ion - pH
Over the past 29 years the pH has dropped from 8.1 to 8.1, rounded to 1 decimal place.
Seawater can’t become acidic, at least not under real world conditions. A study of seawater pH near active volcanic CO2 vents in the Mediterranean (Kerrison et al., 2011) found that the pH immediately adjacent to the vent was still alkaline, despite being subjected to the equivalent of nearly 5,600 ppm CO2.
PhD student Larch Maxey (crazy name, idiotic guy) has hit the news again. Lets remind ouselves of this man's incredible lack of intelligence when he tried to glue himself to a town council's front doors...
And now he's back as idiotic as ever.
Larch Maxey, 46, says that he was trying to prevent fellow protesters from damaging scaffolding on the back of a truck that was being used in the protest, before officers ‘jumped on him’. Mr Maxey says one of the officers grabbed his right hand with such force, that the index finger broke and was left bent at a 90 degree angle. The incident is alleged to have taken place at 11am, by Trafalgar Square.
He added: ‘I won’t be able to write, I’m worried about how this is going to affect my life.
Yes, he used fossil fuelled transport to go to a fossil fuelled hospital...
He should get a life before moaning.
