Canadian Quarantined After Arriving With A Negative COVD19 Test

Yes you read the title to this post correctly “Canadian Quarantined After Arriving With A Negative COVD19 Test”. The individual in question is Steve Duesing, a Canadian returning from a one month trip to the US to visit his girlfriend.

Mr Duesing was able to board the plane in the US with no issues but upon arriving in Canada, it became an issue because he got the rapid COVID19 test, called the Antigen Test, which was not good enough for Canadian officials. So off he went to the quarantine facility against his own free will. If you think that this was just plain old bad luck for Mr Duesing, well think again because that’s how the government is going to roll from now on.

Under the recent COVID-19 testing for travellers coming into Canada rules, we’re all going to be subjected to these new crackdowns. Oh all you horrible spring break travellers and snowbirds bringing that lethal virus back with you even though people from all over the world have been potentially bringing it into this country since this whole scam began.

I will be using the phrase “Internment Centre“and not “Quarantine Facility” because internment is the forcible confinement or detention of a person and that’s what this is.
So here’s how the new rules are going to work. Welcome to Chinada…

Getting tested to enter Canada

All air travellers 5 years of age or older, regardless of citizenship, must provide proof of a negative laboratory test result for COVID-19 to the airline before boarding international flights to Canada.

So yes even you’re five year old will have to have the cotton stick stuck up their nose or down their throat. If you refuse, you don’t get on the plane. So much for taking a spring break down south…

A pre-arrival COVID-19 molecular test will soon be required for travellers entering Canada by land, with limited exceptions such as commercial truckers. More information will be available soon.

Oh and don’t think about going south by car either this spring break because you will need the test before you come home or off to the Internment Centre you go…

You must:
- take the test within 72 hours of your scheduled departure time
- keep proof of your test results for the 14-day period that begins on the day you enter Canada

Steve Duesing apparently didn’t know about the 72 hour rule before leaving because it sounds like the government rules are being made up as they go. He knew he had to have a negative covid19 test to get on the plane but he obviously didn’t know he had to get the “official” PCR test…

These test methods are considered acceptable molecular tests:
- PCR – Polymerase chain reaction
- RT-PCR – reverse transcription real time PCR
- ——- AND SO ON

The quick and efficient Antigen test is not on the list btw…

Persons who have recovered from COVID-19 can continue to test positive long after they have recovered and are no longer infectious.
Travellers who have previously tested positive for COVID-19 must provide proof of a positive COVID-19 molecular test conducted between 14 and 90 days prior to departure, instead of a negative COVID-19 molecular test.

So what exactly does that mean [scratching head…] ?

Keep your pre-board test results for 14 days. In addition, you will be required to isolate and keep your test results for 14 more days if you:
- develop signs and symptoms of COVID-19
- are exposed to another person who exhibits signs and symptoms of COVID-19
- test positive for COVID-19
You must provide proof of your test results, if asked, to any federal, provincial, territorial or municipal government official.

[Still scratching head…] Note to self, don’t get a covid19 test just because you have a sniffle…

Testing after you enter Canada by air

On arrival to Canada and before leaving the airport, you will be required to take a COVID-19 molecular test. You will also be provided with instructions on how to obtain another test toward the end of your quarantine period.
Following the arrival test, you will need to go to your reserved hotel for 3 nights to await test results.

So the negative test you received in order to get on the plane, is no longer accurate because someone gave you covid during the plane ride home and now you and your family, including your five year old, must take another round of tests…

(side note, the government is currently in the process of determining how legal it will be to make you pay for all of this out of your own pocket. It will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $2000 to $3000 dollars)

Then you are shipped off to a wonderful and relaxing government approved Internment Centre of your limited choice for three days against your will. Then you get tested again before your 14 days are up while in quarantine at your own home… oh it gets better…

If you receive a negative result on your arrival test, you may be able to move to your place of quarantine. You must have a suitable plan for your quarantine.
If you do not have a suitable plan for quarantine, you will be re-located to a designated quarantine facility to carry out the remainder of your 14-day quarantine.

Oh, another quarantine Internment Centre if you can’t find anywhere to stay because Everything Is Shut Down!!!…

If you receive a positive result on your arrival test, you will be relocated to a designated quarantine facility for the remainder of your 14 days of isolation.

So if you test positive after you’re three day wait, you are sent to another Internment Centre…

Toward the end of your quarantine, you will be required to take another COVID-19 test. Instructions will be provided in the near future. You will be required to stay in your place of quarantine until you receive a negative test result.
If you receive a positive test result, you will be required to isolate for an additional 14-day period that begins on the day the test was taken. Upon receiving a positive test result, contact your local public health authority and follow their directions.

If you keep testing positive, you’re staying in the Internment Centre until you test negative but just to be sure that I’m not telling any fibs here, what did they say about testing positive again…

Persons who have recovered from COVID-19 can continue to test positive long after they have recovered and are no longer infectious.

If this is the case, then you could be in that Internment Centre long after you have returned home…

A lot of my comments have been sarcastic to highlight how crazy this whole thing is. Make no mistake, these new rules are and will continue to be taken very seriously by the government. They are probably still in the process of determining how legal this all really is and how they will avoid being sued for trampling on all of our human rights and freedoms.

This is a blatant attack on our right to leave Canada whenever we choose and to move freely around when we return. We better all start waking up in this country and in a hurry!
