Canadians are being slow walked into a trap with the upcoming swearing in of Mark Carney as the next Prime Minister of Canada. The former Governor of the Bank of Canada (2008-2013) has never been elected to Parliament, which would be a first in Canadian history. Yes, there are examples of other Canadian Prime Ministers who did not have a seat in Parliament either, when they became Prime Minister, but they are weak.
